GL and BOP, explained

General liability covers third-party bodily injury, property damage and, for most classes, personal and advertising injury. Per-occurrence limits are $300K, $500K, $1M or $2M, with aggregates at twice that, and the policy includes medical payments and damage to rented premises.

A BOP covers kitchen equipment and stock, and the restaurant endorsement (spoilage and food contamination) was extended to more food-service classes in August 2025. A business owner’s policy combines liability, property and business income in one policy.
